New toy: AlphaSmart Neo

I just ordered an AlphaSmart Neo for taking to the library along with the usual complement of tablet and pencil case. It may take a little getting used to, but most writers who have them seem to like them. Beats the weight and distractions of the old Titanium.

Update: Sadly, the AlphaSmart Neo has succumbed to the tablet. There is room in my heart for both.

  1. OH! I am a writer, too; I have an Alphasmart and I just LOVE it! Can’t beat 700 hours of word processing on three AA cells : ).

  2. It arrived yesterday, just in time for me to go to the library and get some work done. I write in longhand using pencil (yes, really), but I wanted something that wasn’t a heavy laptop to type with it. It seems perfect, and it’s lighter than the books I’m reviewing!
